Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals
Nearly of the fourth dimension when I'm out shopping for a new outfit, like I was yesterday at the mall, it takes a lot to knock me off course. Well, Bobbi Brown must take seen me coming considering her new Cabana Corals collection stopped me expressionless in my tracks.
Now, Bobbi does a lot of variations on pink for lips and cheeks, merely she decided to shake things up this time by devoting an entire collection to coral.
I happen to love coral makeup because I remember information technology tin can expect great with a tan, simply Bobbi also recognizes that information technology can be a *bit* intimidating to wear, especially if you're shy about brights.
And so she varies the color'due south intensity across the products in the release. If you're color-shy, perchance kickoff with a launder on your cheeks with ane of the Pot Rouge cream blushes, or grit a hint of shimmer along your cheekbones with a Shimmer Brick.
If, on the other hand, you ain't agape of no assuming, full-on coral fiends (I'g with ya, sistah!) can jump in with ane of the more than vibrant lipsticks or glosses.
From pinnacle to lesser: Shimmer Lip Glosses in Golden Nectar, Coral Sand and Dusk Embankment (each $20)
From left to correct: Pot Rouge in Calypso Coral, Cabo Coral (each $22)
Pinkish Quartz Shimmer Brick ($38)
Nectar Shimmer Brick ($38)
Top row lipsticks: Coral Reef, Coral Glaze, Cabo Coral; Bottom Row: Guava, Calypso Glaze, Salmon (each $22)
From left to correct: Nectar Shimmer Brick, Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick, Pot Rouge in Calypso Coral, Pot Rouge in Cabo Coral
From left to right: Lipsticks in Coral Reef, Coral Glaze, Cabo Coral, Guava, Calypso Coat, Salmon
From left to right: Shimmer Lip Glosses in Gilt Nectar, Coral Sand, Sunset Embankment
How practice you think Bobbi did with this release? Non vibrant enough or merely right? The Cabo Coral lipstick and Nectar Shimmer Brick are speaking volumes to my soul…
Speaking of soles
Finally yesterday, later on several months of serious shoe drought, I found my new pair of heels at Anthropologie! They're these Draped Olive Pumps by Miss Albright ($148).
I figured the olive green had a niggling bit o' spice but was however muted plenty to wear every bit a neutral.
Believe information technology or non, they're pretty comfy! The heel looks a niggling higher than it really is. They're actually covered platforms (you can tell from the forepart), then about an inch of that pinnacle comes from the sole.
Oh, and I learned a new shoe flim-flam yesterday! Ane of the sales associates who helped me had some runway and impress modeling feel, and she said that during shows and shoots they'd apply masking tape to the bottoms of their shoes to protect the soles from scuffing. And then elementary, right? But I'd never heard it before.
If you're ever on the fence about a brand new pair of shoes, cover the bottoms with tape. And so, you tin can examination drive 'em around the business firm for a couple of days (without scuffing the soles) and still have the selection to return them if things don't work out. 🙂
I'g pretty certain I'thou keeping these, though.
What do ya call up of the thick runners socks? Those are to stretch out the area for my toes.
Sexy, I know. LOL!

Karen
