All it means is that your resume has been sent to the selecting official.   information technology ways that you were in the best qualified group.  Information technology doesn't guarantee getting hired or an interview.  I get them all the time from the Navy, and haven't gotten an interview or been selected notwithstanding.

My resume was referred to the selecting official at DCMA, and I was called for an interview.  I was interviewed by a panel of three, and when it was over, I was told that they're just doing the interviewing, and the hiring official will exist making the final decision.  And they take their time about information technology too......

No. It really doesn't brand a difference. The selecting official has your application. If he or she is interested, you'll get a call.

I am sad, only I do non have the time to respond to private letters. I will not respond to them.

              Ric,

Your extra eligibility criteria can help you qualify for a greater number of openings.  For example, some positions are but open to "electric current federal employees and reinstatement eligibles."  If you were not i of those, your awarding wouldn't exist considered, fifty-fifty if you had tons of applicable feel and a kick-a$$ resume.

Once y'all are determined to be Eligible (you turned in all required documents, you met whatever limitation criteria and basic  mandatory qualifications), then they showtime to look at your suitability for the position (skills, education, experience, spelling, etc.).  Being "referred to selecting official" means you fabricated information technology over the first hurdle (or 2d, depending on how y'all define getting eligibility).  And so, beingness referred is MUCH better than not being referred, but there are nonetheless more hurdles to come.

Of class, this is just my interpretation; I am not an HR Specialist, merely a long-term fed.

              Best of luck to you!

I feel your pain. I got a referral from the Navy in Jan 2010 for a job I actually want. Still no interview, just I go on moving forward. :)

                  Hullo Ric,

The second notification was a organization generated message. Equally part of the Recruitment One Terminate initiative, awarding status is supposed to be updated at USAJOBS.  You received and electronic mail from the specialist stating you lot were being referred. The specialist updated your condition in their Staffing system which sent an update to USAJOBS, hence the "ii" notifications.

Equally for your eligibility, agencies all have different names for RIF'd employees, simply essentially you are CTAP/ICTAP, and yep, if you see the qualifications then past rule, you should become first shot at a job over an as qualified person from the outside.

I see no evidence in what Ric has provided that he is eligible for CTAP/ICTAP consideration.

I am sorry, but I exercise non have the fourth dimension to respond to private letters. I will non respond to them.

The rules sound swellLOL, but how do we enforce them? Plain in that location is no way too trusting Hr however I find them pretty dissapointing due to their own lack of agreement of rules.Angry

Is it worth it contacting Hour thru a cold telephone call? QuestionProbably not.

How practice I find out about in-house positions that are not listed. however eligibility allows me to employ to them. It is obvious thru phone telephone call or so, but is so cumbersome and unpractical.....

Networking? Wrong time for that! Right?Confused Any ideas? Big smile

                      Thank you
